ff , I ,, Dedication 1 l i l We are very happy that the change in the name of the school does not change our patron, the Sacred Heart of jesus, to Whom this year as always we lovingly and gratefully dedicate Reminiscor. Because this is a year of momentuous happenings we remember with loving ap- preciation and justifiable pride: our beloved Archbishop Aloysius J, Muench now Apostolic delef gate to Bonn, Germany, our revered Auxiliary, Most Rev. Leo Dworschak, who will celebrate his Silver jubilee next June, and our two pioneer Sisters, who for many years taught at SHA, Mother M, Joseph and Sister M. Alphonsus, who celebrated their Golden Jubilee some months ago. We ask the Sacred Heart to bless them and all their works. Affectionate congratulations and a hearty Ad Multos Annos to all. E31

Foreword The Reminiscor Staff hopes to give you a yearbook full of happy memories. We have sincerely tried to put together the many events that occurred this year. Lack of time and finances curtailed many features which we would like to have expanded. As our theme we have chosen Unity, the crying need in a world lacking peace We have used the Encyclical on Christian Education of Youth by Pope Pius XI to tie together the various sections of the book as teachers, students, and all the organizations connected with the school have only one and the same aim-that of the Christian Philosophy of Education, and are all in their different fields working towards this end. CofEditors Diane Breyer and Beverly Stegge 'llt is therefore as important to make no mistake in education, as it is to make no mistake in the pursuit of the last end, with which the whole work of education is intimately and necessarily connect' ed,ithere can be no ideally perfect education which is not Christian educationf, -Pope Pius XI, Encyclical on Christian Education Denise Denig Diane Breyer Beverly Stegge Aurelie Stricherz CofBusiness Manager CofEditors CO'BuSif16SS Manager ill
