Co - Champs Three Deacon gridders were named on all state teams. Those named were center, George Kellyg tackle, Ray Novakg and junior halfhack, Roger Maras. Guard Pat Conmy received a berth on the second team. The Deacons placed eight men on the allfcity team. End, Rod Baileyg tackles, Ray Novak and Tom Walker: guard, Pat Conmy: center, George Kellyg backs, Pat Colliton, Rudy and Roger Maras. The football squad of 1950 would like to express their appreciation to Sid Cichy, head mentor, to Royal Bursler and Fred Trowbridge, asf sistants, for their untiring efforts in promoting a successful football season.
