l Our Lady of Victory Sodality of St. Anthony's Our Lady of Victory Sodality began anew in September with the reorganizaf tion of committees. October meetings were concentrated on Father Wanzek's instructional talks. In November we had our first big social function, the Sadie Hawkins dance. From the returns of this dance we planned our reception which took place on Dec. 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. In the morning of this day the sodality attended Mass in a body and in the afternoon the candidates were ref ceived formally into the sodality. Cpen house was held in St. Anthony's Gym. Qur Lenten project was prayers for the Conversion of Russia. The Masses with which the Lenten season opened and closed were also for that intention and were celebrated by our director, Father Wanzek. We offered our sacrifices throughout Lent in a Spiritual Bouquet for that intention also. The Holy Week projects consisted mainly in vigils before the Blessed Sacrament on Holy Thurs' day and Good Friday. A group rosary was also said on Good Friday immedif ately following three hours devotion, for our Lenten intention. After our Lenten projects, we began concentrating on a full May schedule. The sodality helped purchase the flowers for the May altars and helped in constructing the special May Altar. Arrangements were made for the sodality to sing at the May devotions once a week. With pep talks to our newly elected officers, who are, Prefect, Darlene Trot' tier: Vicefprefect, joan Kodelkag Treasurer, Mary Kay Savageaug and Secretary, Catherine Miller, we closed our books on another sodality year. Gur Lady of the Annunciation Sodality This has been an exciting year for the sodalists of the North Side Sodality under the spiritual direction of Father Stelton with Delores Ukestad as presidentg Joanne Mar' quart, vicefpresident, Judy Anderson, secretary, and Norma Chaska as treasurer. Agood deed done at the proper time, was at Christmas when each Sodalist bought a gift and packed them alto' gether in a packing box which was sent to an orphange in Europe. A good deed never goes unrewarded as the So' dality received a thank you letter from the sister, warming the hearts of all. Another good deed was performed by the Sodalists on Christmas for they cheered the hearts of those who needed it by Christmas caroling at the old folks home, orphanage, hospitals, and several other homes. They then exchanged gifts among themselves at a party given after' wards. Reception of the new Sodalists was held on February 11, 1951, in a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary's Cathef dral in the afternoon. A tea was served after the services with the officers pouring for the guests who were the parents of the new sodalists and a few priests. Up to date the annual dinner dance was the last prof ject of the Sodality. This event was a gala one for all conf cern-ed. It was held at the Frederick Martin Hotel, and was graciously served by their staff. Delores Ukestad, as president has very capably done her job with her utmost sincerity and ability.
