Seniors l Z l 1 President Patrick Colliton VicefPresident Patrick Conmy Secretaryffreasurer Joanne Marquart Senior Class History Bewildered, green, or just plain scared, any word may describe our condition when we entered S. H. A. as freshmen. Neil Diebert, Patrick Conmy, and Maxine Brunelle were elected president, vicefpresident and secretaryftreasurer respectively. By means of a Booster Club under Sister ,lane Michael's tutorship, we instituted our first class fund. Upon returning as sophomores, a feeling of security and an expression of dignity were prevalent among us. Class elects were: President, Kathie Barnickg vice president, Bill Seeba: and secretary treasurer, George Kelly. With the thought of the JuniorfSenior prom in the notftoofdistant future, we sold Christmas cards and miniature footballs as a means of inf come. Up another step and we were juniors. With two years of experience and gaiety behind us, we were more determined than ever. Class officers to lead us this year were: Pat Col- liton, president, Kathie Barnick, vicefpresident, and Pat Cone my, secretaryftreasurer. A junior class play, Bolts and Nuts was sponsored under Father Hovda's able guidance. Two magazine subscription selling drives, plus the class play, boost- ed our prom quota to the desired height. The Nloorhead country club was the scene of the prom. which proved to be a big success. With hopes of entering the much talked about Shanley High School, we looked forward to our final year. Here we are seniors! It seems only yesterday when we entered the halls of old S. H. A. Pat Colliton was again elect' ed president, with the help of Pat Conmy, vicefpresidentg and loanne Marquart, secretaryftreasurer. This adventurous year marked the beginning of Shanley High School. Although a beautiful new school and spacious gymnasium were graciously accepted by all, the wonderful traditions of S. H. A. were still observed. With Fathers Durkin and Walsh at the helm, we presented our Senior Class Play Murder in a Nunneryf' Soon we shall graduate. Along with graduation will come many a sad heart. Not sad because of graduation, but be' cause all the wonderful memories of S. H. A. and Shanley must be left behind. Yes, now we must go out into the world and cope with anything that might prevail. But we of Shanley High School feel as well equipped as any graduate, for through S. H. A, and Shanley's portals, we have attained an education which not only insures our temporal welfare, but also our spiritual. l12l
