Through his diligent efforts in promoting good sportsmanship, friendliness, and the ability to get along with others, he has set high ideals for all in the school as well as for others who knew hhn. We are confident the school will long remember his winning personality as well as his athletic knowledge and ability. Our chaperones were Mr. and Mrs. Lund and Mr. Marshall. Arriving in Los Angeles at 9:30 we went to the Union Oil Company refin- ery at Wilrnington, where we had a conducted tour through the refinery. Every- one was amazed by the maze of pipes and valves. After the tour we went to a movie in Long Beach, then toured the Pike. The boys and Mr. Lund went wild on the bumper cars. We finished off the night with a thrilling ride on the roller-coaster. Saturday morning we drove through the hills of Santa Monica and toured the campus of the University of California at Los Angeles. That afternoon we went to International Airport and watched the big planesg while we were there we had a tour through the weather bureau. After leaving the airport we visited Exposition Park and drove through the campus of the University of Southern California. On our way back to Santa Monica we drove up Hollywood Boulevard and tried all the foot and hand prints at Grau1nan's Chinese theater for size. Later we took a look at some of the mansions in Beverly Hills. In the evening we had dinner at Vande Camp's restaurant in Hollywood, then finished a very enjoyable day by seeing the movie THE LIVING DESERT. Sunday morning we went to the First Methodist Church in Santa Monica. After driving through Westwood we finally headed back to Shandon, sorry to have our weekend come to an end, but glad to be going home. .Ysauzh-few., Foons PHONE 256 PASO ROBLES, CALIFORNIA. 530 - 12TH STREET 'IO -,iw-f'JitiL':w ' 2.3, . 1 wig, ' f vm ff? , if, ..
