The Budding Genius SENIOR PLAY February 27, 1959 Mrs. Neece. . . . Director Kenneth Ras coe. . Asst. Dir. Cheramy Tisdal Make-up Tommy, a schoolboy, thinks he is awriter. He writes a story with the same title as the one his Pulitzer-Prize winning uncle. His uncle comes to visit and has his mail sent there. Two weeks later a letter comes and has a S500 check in it. Tommy thinks it s his because his uncle and he have the same name. Tommy throws a big party and finds out too late that the money isn't his. Miss Pidgie locates them in a most unex- pected place. . .the lunch basket of Mrs. Guarino. Prospective lawyer, Bill, announces he is going to hold a preliminary trial and appoints judge, jury .... In a clever way, he clears Mrs. Guarino and exposes the guilty person. Miss Pidgie discovers the contents of the mysterious suitcase, much to her regret. Then Silas rushes on and announces the relief train is coming. Every- body rushes out pell mell. Looks like she's enjoying it. One . .two. . a Conga Pardon my seeming curiosity.

FTA The FTA consists of students who desire to become teachers . At the end of the year all students who have met all requirements receive pins. FTA has high membership requirements which it strives to maintain. Many useful projects are carried on by the club. We have twenty-eight members, most have been membe rs for two or three years. Mrs. Oneta Barrett, president of the local classroom teacher's organization, was the i n s t al l i n g officer. She gave a very impres- sive talk on The Enjoyment of Teaching.
