Library and Study Hall The library is shelved with many good and interesting books, such as Fiction, Biography, History, etc. There is a verticle file, a shelf file, a card catalogue, and a complete section of reference books. The library is being improved more every year. Study Hall is anhour period set aside in every student's schedule for their benefit, to use for getting their outside work and class assignments. The Latin class reads about the Harpies. Latin Il students read stories on different phases of the culture of the Greek and Roman nations . A great deal of reference reading is done to pro- vide background for studying languages and to appreciate our debt to these famous people . Em- phasis placed on a thorough understanding of syntax and vocabulary. In the second semester the class translates Caesar's Gallic Wars. Re- search is done on Caesar's life and all aspects of history related to this story. FOREIGN Our crown performance Siempre Una Vaca. The famous vocabulary line. LANGUAGE The Spanish I class tries to master a reading and speaking vocabulary and to learn the basic gram- matical forrns . Cultural material is studied both from the historical and the modern viewpoint. The importance of friendly relations with our neighbors of this hemisphere is emphasized. We Won't forget Mary Kay.

P. E. girls build a pyramid. Girls get set to do front-rows. 'P.E. Class The girls' P.E, class meets the fifth periodg the boys' class, the second pe riod. In these classes the students learn the fundamentals of many different games. Emphasis is placed upon developing body skills, such as: agility, balance, and reaction. This year the girls were intro- duced to elementary tumbling for the first time, The boys have been working on individual skills in tumbling and acrobatics. The Rocking-Chair for building leg muscle Boys try back-ward flips. Coach grades back-ward air flips.
