We must equip ourselves with all the science knowledge we can if we are to live in the future world. Q 9 Driver s Education Highschool courses canprovide the most favorable opportunity for youths to acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed for safe driving. The instruction set-up of greatest promise is a two-part drive r s education course. Around such a practical two-part system, Sportmanlike Driving course is built. It is made up of: l. Classroom teaching Z. Supervised road practice. Both parts of the course are regularly sched- uled in school curriculum. In classroom work youth drivers learn: What makes the good driver. Traffic laws and the reasons for them. The serious personal and social responsibilities of driving. The elementary principles of how a car runs . How to keep the car in good condition. How to protect and to be good pedestrians . Stopping distances at various speeds. Vocational possibilities in driving.
