tudent Council THF OFFTFFDQ The student body of S H S has orgamzed a Student Counc1l The prlmary purpose of the Student Councll 15 to be a governlng body for the students w1th the rules made by the students themselves These rules are formulated by the Jomt act1on of the Student Councll wh1ch has been elected by the student body The actlons of students at ball games on school tr1ps at soc1al act1v1t1es and al1funct1ons held by the school are some of the thmgs covered by the student body In case of mfractlon of the rules the Student Counc1l recommends the penalty such as wxthholdmg pr1v1leges to be g1ven the offendmg student It IS for the beneflt of the ent1re student body Several thlngs were d1scussed and voted on by the members after we started the meetmgs were drxven to school would be left parked durlng school hours and the noon hour unless speclal perm1ss1on was g1ven by the Supermtendent It was suggested and agreed upon that class meetmgs would be held every two weeks on Frlday also that an ' Operators Club would be formed m order to learn how to care for and run the mov1e projector It was declded by the members of the Councllto begm a f1lm program once a month The offlcers and representatlves are asfollows Pres1dent Barbara Davls V1ce Pres1dent Donna Cobble Secretary Reporter Carolyn Sherrlll Senlor Class Barbra Campbell Jun1or Class ITIS June Potts Sophomore Charles Caruthers Freshman PattyEnd1cott ExghthGrade Patsy Shelton Seventh Grade Lewls Ledgerwood It was decided that the new magazines would be checked out from the library.
