THE CTI G UPEIII TE DE T CLAY S. SANDERS Bucknell University AB., A.lVI. In December lVIr. Sanders was elected by the Board of Education to act as superintendent after the resignation of Mr. 1. H. Davison. IVIr. Sanders assumed the responsibility as head of the schools on February I. For a number of years lVIr. Sanders has been a member of our faculty, successfully accom- plishing everything he undertook. In the last ten years he held the position as head of the language department during which time he taught Latin to first and second year students. When Spanish was introduced into the curricu- lum last year, he filled this position very ably. J. H. DAVISON Ohio State University AB., MS. Mr. Joseph H. Davison, who was our super- intendent of schools for the last four years. was born, reared, and educated in the state of Ohio. Since his graduation from Ohio State University, Mr. Davison has been prominent in the educational field in hoth Ohio and Pennsylvania. Mr. Davison is tall in stature and friendly in manner. A hearty laugh and warm hand clasp are distinctive traits of his personality. His kind and understanding heart have helped him to make many friends in Shamokin. ln December, Mr. Davison resigned as su- perintendent of the schools of Shamokin. He is a person who is genuinely interested in the welfare of our school and student body. He has exercised patience, diligence, and good judgment in his Constant efforts to guide each student to his respective goal. Although a man of small stature, Mr. Vos- hurgh possesses innumerable qualities of lead- ership. He is especially interested in the wel- fare of the returning veterans and has done his utmost in aiding them to take their respective places.
