ITH GREAT PRIDE we present the 1959 edition of SHALER- ESQUE, in whose pages we have turned events into memories. Here we give the Shaler year 1958- 59 as we lived it, and the many things we have done, whether academic, ath- letic, or social, will be recalled both by picture and by word. The picture of our school on the first page shows what a passer-by might see of Shaler, but the pages inside show the Shaler her students and faculty see. For it is the teachers, students, and parents joining and Working together who make Shaler what it is, who give Shaler a distinctive personality. VVe present to you, therefore, all the fun, work, and successes of which we have been a part.
