Vera and Rogers try to revive Mrs. Rogers, who lies unconscious. Anthony. the second one to die, was the victim of :i poisoned drink. Ten Little Indians The familiar nursery rhyme telling how each Indian met his death was the basis for the ex- citing mystery, mlleu Little Inrliansf' presented by the class of '58 as its Senior Class Play. Eight guests were asked by an unknown host to stay for a week-end at his strange house on an island off the coast of Devon. An important feature of the house was the cluster of ten china Indian statues on the living room mantle. Above them hung the copy of the nursery rhyme. As all are gathered in the living room before dinner, a mysterous voice is heard accusing every- one present of murder. As they excitedly ex- changed information about themselves, they learn- ed that each of them had in some way been re- sponsible for another personls death, but not in such a way that they could be tried for murder. XYben Marston. who had killed two children, choked to death, one of the Indian statues fell from the mantle. Then everyone realized the voice had not been a joke. Mrs. Rogers died in her sleep from an overdose of sleeping medicine: MacKenzie was stabbed: Mr. Arnistrong was pushed off a cliflg Rogers was killed with an axeg each in turn met his death according to the rhyme. Each time one died, another lndian toppled from the mantle. Suspicion and mystery mounted till the final Emily, in her usual know-it-all manner. gives Fred some advice as he carries her suitcases from the boat,
