In a Well-Rounded, aried Course ui Study In order tor the students in senior roblems to know more about Coli- P fornia government, class trials are held. Mr. Gaye H. Pare Social studies is a required subject all tour years in high school: theretore, this part ot the study program has a well- rounded variety ot activities and courses. The treshman year consists mostly ot helping the student torm a viewpoint ot himself. explaining problems which will arise in high school, and determining what the student will choose as subjects in high school to prepare tor college or a iob. The sophomore year in social studies is a combination ot world histor and six weeks ot driver education. World history is a study oi events trom the beginning ot recorded time to the present day world happenings. Driver education pre- pares the students with a background ot essential good driv- ing habits. The iunior year handles the study ot our own country, from the early explorers to the present administration. The study ot the constitution, tormerly part ot this course, is being moved to the senior year. The senior year deals with seniors' roblems to help the stu- dents understand what is expectedbot them as adults. This year class trials were started.
