The over-all function ol the Board of Trustees is to adopt policies lor the governing of the Kern County High School and Junior College District. The approval of the board was necessary on all new courses of study introduced in the eight schools and the junior college under its iurisdiction. lt also planned the yearly budget and provided for school facilities and supplies, employed personnel, and set up the calendar for the school year.
