Mrs. Floda Cantabery For some of us 1978 means a good football season, a good school year, or a year of important decisions, but for Mrs. Floda Cantabery it is the beginning of her 31st year of teaching school. She has taught at the following high schools: Mark Twain, Clear Fork, Woodrow Wilson and since 1953 she has been teaching at Shady Spring High School. Mrs. Cantabery teaches shorthand and office machines. She is also a Guidance Counselor. Mrs. Cantabery has always been influential and steadfast in the upgrading of Shady Spring High School standards and the promotion of high ideals among all students. She is a dedicated, outstanding teacher, interested in students and concerned about their education. The Annual Staff proudly dedicates the 1979 Spring to Mrs. Floda Cantabery. A native of Beckley, Mrs. Cantabery is a member of First Baptist Church and the following professional organizations: Alpha Delta Kappa; Kappa Delta Pi; NEA; WVEA; and RCEA. Her hobbies are reading, home-making, and dancing.
