The Annual Staff of Shady Spring High School is proud to dedicate the 1976 Spring” to Mr. Jack Richmond. After 28 years of teaching, he is always patient, understanding. and willing to give of his time and effort to assist with school activities. Mr. Richmond graduated from Shady in 1940, entered college and was drafted into the army. After three years of Military Service, he returned to Concord College and received his degree in 1948. While at Shady, Mr. Richmond was captain of the football team and holds the school’s record of fastest runner. His record of service at Shady Spring High School is outstanding, having missed only one ball game in all these years. Mr. Richmond resides, with his wife Josephine, at Beaver. They have three children, Jack, Shelia, and Shir- ley.
