We, the Senior Class of 1966, dedicate our yearbook, The Spring” to Mrs. Edith Okes. You have helped us in many ways from the time we entered Shady High as Freshmen; and, for this we are grateful. Without your efficient work our clubs would not have an accurate rec- ord of their funds, letters concerning our school would not be typed and mailed, and teachers would not be given vital information, and we would not receive our mimeographed tests. We realize it requires patience to listen to a ring- ing telephone, contact pupils and change dollar bills all at the same time, but you have done an excellent job. Six years as secretary at Shady Spring High School In addition to your work at school we know that you are an active church member where you teach a Sunday School class, and in your spare time you enjoy redecorating your home and drawing. 5
