Four years . . . over 1,000 days of Shady Side, and of each other. The slow matura- tion of ourselves then, to ourselves now, the progression of weeks upon months upon years to form a misted blur of emo- tions and events, the body of our lives and ourselves has comprised a possession more precious than any tangible thing. A portion of our lives has been spent at Shady Side, a fragment of time cemented with laughter, tears, dreams, and friend- ship. To leave will be as to close a favorite book without quite knowing the ending, but a time for leaving is inevitable. Scat- tered throughout the continent as we will be next year, we can only be grateful for our common bond through Shady Side and for the treasure of four indescribable years.
