The cheerleaders are: (from left to right); front row: Sophia Beach, Christie Atkinson, Kelly Severud, Back row: Janet Lightner, Vickie Strate, Den- nette Schlepp, Debbie Rector. This year the cheerleaders were really active. They did neat things like TP houses and made goodies for the guys and gals. They went with the Hi-lassies won the contest for the trip to Disneyland to march. You really have to give these girls a lot of credit because over the year they covered over 220 events, from the first football games to the basketball and wrestling in the winter to the last baseball games and track meets in the spring. Well we hope that you guys and gals really appreciate all the work and time that these seven girls did just to get you guys to work a little harder when the going got rough. 28

This year’s Sadie was held Saturday, October 30 in the Shadle Park gym. The band was King Kong. The Shadle League did the decorations and tickets. The costume contest winners were Ragedy Ann and Andy: Karen Robinette and David Rasley. Runners-up were Martians: Stacy McDonald, Peter Pans: Vicki Smith and Ben Holms, and Uncle Sams: Karen Strick and Jim Hoffman. ♦ 30
