A.S.B. officers this fall were President, Linda Buzzel; Fifth executive, Theresa Eickstadt; Treas., Jill Wright; Sec., Robin Moffat; Vice Pres., Lori Sannes. This year the A.S.B. started having breakfasts with the meetings. It went over really well with hungry representatives. The A.S.B. put on the Sadie and the Christmas dance. They also put on the annual Garland School Christ¬ mas project. The kids at Garland reallv en¬ joyed the party. The A.S.B. also was involved in the litter pickup problem at Shadle. i FALL A.S.B. 24

Below, Brendan Kerin, one of the Drum Majors. v And the Band played on. This year Shadle’s Marching Band consists of 190 members, the biggest Shadle has had in several years. The Marching Unit played at 9 football games, 4 of which they performed at half¬ time. This includes the Hi-Lassies, Cheer¬ leaders, Color Guard, Highland Dancers, Majorettes, Pipers, and three Drum Ma¬ jors. During Basketball season the Marching unit played at 13 Shadle home games at the Coliseum. The Hi-Lassies, Dancers, Twirlers and Color Guard did floor rou¬ tines while the Band played popular tunes. This group was involved in many extracur¬ ricular activities throughout the school year. They participated in the Spokane Valley Festival Parade, and the University of Idaho’s Homecoming parade where they represented Shadle and the city of Spokane for which they received the first place trophy. They performed in a mass Band Salute to Disneyland in the Univer¬ sity of Idaho’s Kibbie Dome. They also marched in the Lilac Festival parade. The Concert Band gave several evening concerts and participated in large group contests. This Marching Unit represented Shadle at all athletic events and city wide perfor¬ mances. Each member put in a great deal of time and effort. Mr. Bentz directing the Band??? 26
