l t m rw ing .Ll,, V First Female s., Left: hard be .Stl Heads Active ASB Main responsibility for the fall Associated Student Body were in the hands of five officers. These people were concerned, cooperative. devoted. to making Shadle an active, better school. They worked persistently, meeting everyday sixth period in Wayne Chandler's office. Their activities were carefully planned, organized, and fretted over. They highlighted the annual Highlander Week , the Don McLeod Mime convocation, the Juvenile Detention Bond Issue, Senior Citizen Gold Cards. and the Christmas dance and project. ln more ways than one, the fall semester was special. For the first time in Shadle's history the A.S.B. was headed by a female. President Tracy Rothstein. Her fellow officers include Vice-President Dave Zaccaria. Secretary Pam Lieske, Treasurer Mike Benesch and Fifth Executive Linda Beach. The representatives provided communications between the A.S.B. heads and the rest of the Shadle Body and although they acquired a habit of passing bills too lightly. they proceeded to carry them out with zest and responsibility.Without these people the A.S.B. could not have been the working group that it was. Fall's officers present their sentiments toward Shadle in this following poem and statement ............ We love you not only for what you are but for what we are when we are with you. We love you not only for what you have made of yourselves. but for what you have made of us. We love you because you have done more than anyone could have done to make us happy, and more than any fate could have done to make us good. You've done it without a word. a touch. or a sign. You've done it by being yourselves and perhaps. that is what being true friends really is. Y h V Than? ' 'i V make
