GL Con Starts Off Busy Fall Schedule Heading a busy schedule of events this fall, big sisters introduced sophomore girls to Shadle at the Big-Little Sister Con. Girls' League activities were planned by President Karen Bell, Vice- President Linda Cameron, Secretary Jan Dickson, and Treasurer Annette Naccarato. BLIND OWL was featured at the annual Sadie Hawkins Dance. Best costume award was given to Vicki Miller and Bruce Gumm who were dressed in outhouse attire. Mr. America and Me themed the Dad-Daughter dessert which featured volleyball, jolleyball, and a fine entertainment program. Senior Janie Countryman and her father won the Mr. America and Me Contest. Karen McKee was chosen October Girl of the Month for her active participation in Girls' League programs and volunteer work around school. Karen also helped to bring about the successful Big-Little Sister Con at the beginning of the year. Kathy Mitchell, active in drama, was selected for Girl of the Month in November. Kathy was in Children's Theatre and UP THE DOWN STAIRCASE. She is also involved in Shadle's music programs. Denise McCoy was honored with the Girl of the Month award in December for her accomplishments in the field of music. Denise is in Jazz Lab Band, Orchestra, and she also played solo in the Pop's Concert.
