New teaching devices enabled Shadle students to gain a better understanding of mod- ern math. Teachers found that the wide differences in student abili- ties created problems. Apply- ing the objective technique, faster students could help the slower pupils. Students could then progress at their own pace. Overhead projectors served as ideal teaching aids. Students can become more involved working with the overhead pro- jectors because it's more like working out the problem them- selves, remarked Mr. Robi- nette.
