Patti Anderson was chosen as Shadle's l964 Lilac Prin- cess by a group of teachers and student leaders iudging on the basis of speaking ability, poise, and attractive- ness. During her reign Patti attended luncheons, made television appearances, and rode on the Lilac Royalty float in the annual Lilac Fes- tival-Armed Forces parade and in the Appleblossom Festival parade in Wenat- chee. Patti was consistently a fine representative of Shadle Park High.

Highlander Week once again proved to be an exciting week full of Shadle Tradition and scotty antics. Beginning with Hi-Student Day's rousing con and clirnaxing with the annual High- land Fling, the week was a suc- cess inthe best tradition of High- lander friendliness. Although Steve Ferguson is loaded down with some sweet lassie's books, he seems to be enjoying Hi-Lassie Day as he carries out one of the many duties performed by the boys showing courtesy to the girls.
