Supervision Of Building, Cafeteria Carries Responsibility JEFFERSON DAVIS A well-loved person around Shades Valley is Mr. Jeff Davis. Cutting the grass, maintaining operable school facilities, and supervising the rental of the auditorium are just a few of his many responsibilties. Mr. Davis devotion to Shades Valley has made him an indispensable figure in our school. Preparing food for 1400 students is a full time job. From 8:00 in the morning until 2:00 in the afternoon. Shades Valley's cafeteria staff is busy working. Training Assistant Registrar Working in all areas of school and student buisness, Shades Valley's office staff continues its expert handling of the many administrative duties which are an important part of our school. Mrs. Dorothy Cox is not only registrar but also Dr. Peake's secretary. Mrs. Virginia Pugh, assistant registrar is responsible for the monthly attendance reports and all student records. Mrs. Beth Rogers, assistant registrar, is in charge of bookkeeping. The staff's dedication to Valley provides for the smooth operation of our school from day to day.

Books Are The Key To Knowledge MARTHA COBB Samford University, A.B.; University of Alabama, L.S. Head Librarian Through the unlimited medium of books, students can greatly expand their knowledge. Shades Valley’s library, headed by Mrs. Martha Cobb, provides them with a wide selection of literature. Mrs. Cobb, assisted by Mrs. Glenda Curvin, runs a well-organized and up-to-date library for both students and faculty. Working on term papers, outside reading and book reports, the students find the library most useful. In addition to books, the library has projectors, record players, tape recorders, and other educational materials.
