Continuing changes in the nationwide education picture have necessitated greater efforts within our school to maintain a creditable scholastic standard. Throughout the United States, high schools are striving to fulfill requirments to meet the demands for living in today's accelerated society. This is a challenge to both students and administration. It is Dr. Peake's particular responsibility to keep the public, teachers, and students aware of these changes, so that we may realize standards of excellence at Shades Valley. These factors have placed added duties on Dr. Peake as principal, because a multitude of other duties must go on at the same time. Mr. King is Vice Principal in charge of discipline and attendance.
