at I. U. To our surprise Edna is neither married nor engaged. We hear she has been asked several times, but each time she has turned them down. I guess she hasn't found the right one. After a long and pleasant trip we finally reached Tucson. Marie and her little girl were at the station to meet us. Her husband was keeping the ranch and couldn't get away. Marie told us she had received a letter from Dolores Hamilton, who married a former high school sweet- heart. She is living in Florida and has four little boys. She says she is planning to have one more boy so they can have a basketball team. All of a sudden I awoke from my thoughts and looked at my watch. Here it was almost twelve o'clock and I had been dreaming. Well, it was a pleasant dream, and I know that all of the Seniors will live very happy and prosperous lives. If If you were busy being kind, Before you knew it, you would find You'd soon forget to think 'twas true That someone was unkind to you. If you were busy being glad, And cheering people who are sad, Although your heart might ache a bit, You'd soon forget to notice it. If you were busy being good, And doing just the best you could, You'd not have time to blame some man Who's doing just the best he can. Class Prophecy Last evening I was looking through my memory book and got carried away with my thoughts of the Senior Class of '52. All of a sudden I was startled by me nngmg ox the doorbell. It was a messenger boy with a telegram from the ex'Marle Gee, who was married to a multlmllllonalre She lnvlted my two girlfriends and me to come and vlslt her on their big dude ranch out in Arizona. She has been married for slx years and has a little four year old girl, who is growing up to be quite a cowgirl. Since we had never been on a dude ranch, we dlcided to go to Ayres at Indianapolis to get some new outfits. We thought the people who worked there would know what we should take with us. We walked into the store and decided to look around. While we were looklng around, a tall, slim, beautiful blonde walked up to us with an alr of dignity. She asked us if she could interest us fn the evening gown she was modeling or any that were hanging up. We were about to tell her no when, lo and behold, we discovered that she was none other than Carolm Heemstg who is modeling there at Ayres. She told us that she was engaged to the owner and she had a good sized rock on her finger to prove lt. Cary also told us that June Connelly was working for her fiance as a private secretary. She ls doing very well for herself and ls also engaged to a very handsome boy from Indianapolis who ls ln the Marines. We decided to talk to June. She told us that she was very happy with her work, and her fiance was'expected home very soon. On our way home we decided to stop at the Llght House Inn at Lebanon to get a blt to eat. Whlle we were waiting on our order, who should walk up but ole' Sheldon Stilllons, better known as Skel1y . 'We invited him to sit down and join us ln a bit to eat. He told us that he was married to a former '51' graduate and is the proud father of twin boys, four, and a little girl, two. He now owns the Stllllon's Furniture Store, Inc. where he makes and designs his own furniture. His store ls located on the outskirts of Indianapolis, and he is starting to build one at New York, so it looks as lf Shelly ls doing very well for himself, too. He told us that Q Funkhouser is the President of the Ball State Teachers College. Tom is married to a little English girl whom he met on his annual tour there. ' We reached home that evening about seven o'c1ock. Since we were leaving early the next morning, we had a few things we had to wash out. We turned on the water and to our surprise, we couldn't get It turned off. Everything was getting flooded and we had to do something quick. We tried and tried to get hold of a plumber, but no one would come out at that time of the night. We finally got hold of Williams Plumbing Service. Who should come to flx the running water but Harold Wllllams, who was now owner of the thriving business. After Harold got the water fixed he told us that Madelyn Conrad was now teaching the first and second grades at Shadeland. She now ls married to a high school sweetheart and ls happy teaching school. We took the 8:15 plane to Tucson, Arizona. We boarded the plane and to our surprise the pretty little girl who fastened our safety belts was none other than our own Barbara Morris. She informed us that she was engaged to the pilot, one of the Tippecanoe Co. boys that Barb went with while she was still in hlgh school. She told us that Edna Blain was teaching music 19
