JUNIORS After three months of vacatuon one hundred and enght lunnors returned to complete their task of gettnng an educatuon The flrst btg event of the school year for them was the homecomnng Ken Schuyler and Duane Baehler were the lunlor representattves on the Court of Honor Everyone was excited when they took top honors In the parade wtth their float The Indians Wlll Dance Whale the Blue Devnls Burn Strangers rn Paradnse was selected by the class as the theme for thelr prom held on Aprll 30th Jrmmy James furnished the muslc for the splendtd evenung an paradise for all prom goers A revolvnng lught cast shadows upon the dancung couples as they whurled across the floor especually notlclng the llttlest Angel SOPHOMORES The one hundred and enghteen sophomores started the school year by lnltlatung the freshmen and being hosts and hostesses at the Freshmen Sophomore Party Next on the schedule was the homecoming with Donald Cornelius and has date Harriet Meclkalsku as the class representatives Otto Goettel Arthur Haas Davld Grunwaldt Donald Rennke and others showed thenr abrlntues nn sports Supportmg the team were Yvonne Galbert and Carol Verbeten A Team cheerleaders and Fern Elck and Robert Lotter Bteam cheer FRESHMEN The long awaited flrst day of school flnally arrived and l28 freshmen stepped Into Seymour Hugh School for the first time The first bug event of the year lnltlatlon helped everyone get acquainted The gurls were decked out In long underwear shredded skirts and bug boots The boys were very stylish ID their dlaoers baby bonnets and ribbons Several freshmen were soon notlced Bonnie Van Straten and Pat Brooks became B team Many lunlors partlclpated In sports Among them were Winton Severson Ken Schuyler John Walters James Walters Allen Hurlburt Jerry Enck Davnd Wendt Davnd Peotter Mtchael Smith Donna Van Straten was a team cheerleader Eva Kloehn was elected secretary of the Student Councll wrth Wmton Severson as the vice pres: dent Junnors who transferred from other schools are James House East Green Bay Allen Hurlburt Bonduel and Glenn Werhnng Shnocton The class offncers are Presldent Davld Went Vice President Richard Van Dreel Secretary Duane Baehler and Treasurer Wnnton Severson Advlsors for the group were Mr Mann Muss Churney Mnss Teetzen and Mr Rynearson leaders Many sophomores proved themselves an extra curricular actnvltles Barbara Wussow and Carol Techltn were active In the vocal department and others partrcnpated In Dramatucs Club Band and Blue Jay Kenneth Spaude IS president of the class The other offucers are Vtce presldent Fern Enck Secretary Carol Verbeten and Treasurer Carol Wassenberg Mr Behrendt Mr Halle Mrs Jen kms and Mrs Nlgl are the class advisors cheerleaders Jerry Hull and Jean Smith were homecoming candidates Bob Milburn and others became active nn sports Others soon showed up In clubs such as FHA FFA Dramatlcs and the Blue Jay The class offncers are President Jam Enck Vnce President Gale Wandke Secretary Janet Landwehr and Treasurer Mary Cook Their class advisors are Mr Kopke Mr Weaver Mlss Haderleln and Mass Worwood PgT tyto 1 1 ' 1 1 1 - - 1 1 1 - ,, . . . . 11 1 1 1 11 . . ,, . . . 1 1 - 1 ' ' 1 . - I . . . .
