Baker '5uPermte'nden'C Principal For eighteen years our sup,rintendent, Mr. Kemp, and our principal, Mrs. Baker, have worked faithfully for the upbuilding of Seymour High School. Improve- ment has been steady and constant. Our present enroll- ment is 340, The report of the Southern Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, to which we belong, shows the high quality of work done by our school. Our graduates have a record for above the average made by college freshmen. Our school plant is valued at approximately ,g1o9,ooo. In 1922 the original high school building, built in 1917 was completed and the Home Economics Cottage was built. In 1928 six class rooms were added. what we of the class of 1937 most appreciate is the recently completed new study hall, library room, lockers and gymnasium. No school has a more capable or loyal superintendent than Seymour High School. M . Kemp's major concern is keeping our school as good as the best. Mrs. Baker's understanding and high ideals continue to add character to our school. She can always be depended on when we are in need of help. we are proud of S. H. S.
