THE SENIOR STDRY 1 Today we Seniors of 1962 stand in awe as we look back over those six years that have been so important in our young lives. Six years that have flown so swiftly that they are almost unaccountable in our minds, and still, as short as they may have seemed, they can tell of the greatest, the saddest, the happiest hours of our lives. Most of us entered seventh grade shy and uncertain as to what to expect. However, with the help of our class officers, we struggled through the first im- portant year. Our next step was the eighth grade which we entered with enthusiasm and a secret pride that at least someone was now below us. The Freshman year was the year that really began our climb to the top. As Freshmen we enjoyed a new prestige. Not only were we allowed to attend all pep meetings, but also we held our first large social event, the Freshman Party. As Sophomores we were active in all school affairs. The big event of this year was the Sophomore Dance. We chose as our class officers, President, Victor Dalla Bettag Vice-President, Deborah Zimmersg Secretary, Charlotte Solazzo, Student Council representatives, Janice Serro, Philip Kaufman, and Jay Cook. By our Junior year we were famous. Everyone knew the Jolly Juniors were the champion Christmas candy sellers and the champion cheerers at the pep meetings. This year we enthusiastically sponsoredboththe Christmas Dance and the Junior-Senior Prom. Our class officers were President, Maureen Sleberg Vice-President, Rodney Hough and Secretary, Tonna Long. Finally we were Seniors, happy students bestowing our senorial dignity throughout the sch8ol. To lead our Senior class we elected Joseph Baily as President, Ronald Fennell as Vice-President, Linda Ray as Secretary, and Joyce Novacek, Betty Hoffman, Charlotte Solazzo, Daryll Antoszyk and Janet Hutter as Student Council representatives. These years will soon be memories, but they have left with us a reminder that the future will be an outgrowth ofthe same type of friendships, diligent work, and good times which are'ever to be cherished by every member of the Class of 1962.
