The next door we corne to is the one lead- ing to Mr. Miller's office. Although we fre- quently found ourselves there, we will not take time for a visit today. ln room seven we learned about our own state. lt is the home room of Mr. loseph Andreo. Mr. Andrea teaches Pennsylvania History, civics, and economics. He is also an assistant coach of the Bisons. Early to bed, early to rise, is the secret of success of Miss Harriet Hayden who presides over room eight. She skillfully teaches typing and shorthand and helps situate girls in sec- retarial jobs for which they are suited. Room nine is a fascinating one to the lovers of science. ln this rooni, Mr. loseph Shott teaches classes in general science and biology. finished out by Mr. Charles Moore who was recently graduated from Saint Vincent's. He assumed the junior class responsibility and preparation of the Christmas Dance and junior- Senior Prom. That finishes the main floor. Come along up the steps and we'll visit Mr. Robert McCune in room thirteen. Mr. McCune teaches junior high school subjects and is the advisor to both the junior and senior high student council. This is the first year room fourteen has been used for high school students. Mr. Alex- ander Lawson has changed the location of his geography classes from the basement to the top floor. This room is lucky enough to rate all new desks! ln room fifteen, we learned 'rithmetic How well Mr. Earl Decker taught us to figure! ln November of nineteen fifty-four, Mr. Decker was hospitalized. He has been at Sewickley longer than any other teacher. We see another new face in room sixteen this year. lt is that of Miss Frances Yonick. Miss Yonick directed the senior class play, Sev- enteen is Terrific! She has a seventh grade home room and teaches English, shorthand, and arithmetic. ln the next room we find the man who plans the money raising for the '55 Sewickley. Room seventeen is home to Mr. Lawrence Bedford M, Perlman 'Af Kobe: Dalla Betta and the business staff of the year- book. He teaches geography and first year algebra. Across the hall from Mr. Dalla Betta, in room eighteen, is jovial Mr. Charles Pritts. He teaches us to use the proper English. He is quite proud of his luck at fishing and hunting. lf you have a problem, be it great or small, Miss Ruth Fulton is the person who will help you with it. She helps us decide what voca- tion we are best suited for. Besides acting as guidance director, Miss Fulton also teaches classes in Latin and French. Room twenty-two is headquarters for the editorial division of the yearbook staff. Mr. Albert Andreo is our patient advisor. Twenty- two is also a paradise for those interested in science. You will find our chemists and phy- sicists at work. Our future nurses learn some of the basic nursing techniques in his science survey classes. You will find room twenty-five on the base- ment floor. lt is divided into two sections, A and B. When he isn't teaching drivers educa- tion, Mr. Samuel Hopkinson resides in twenty- five A.
