YLVIA Gerber Today, afTer a four hour privafe conference wiTh AnThony Cognaifo, powerful poliTical leader was selecfed presidenTial candidaTe of The RepubocraTic parTy. In The evenT ThaT she is elecTed, she will be The firsT woman presidenf in The hisTory of The UniTed STaTes. Miss Gerber's nominaTion came as a disTincT shock To everyone, including friends and opponenTs oT The RepubocraTic ParTy. Miss Gerber has been prominenT in poliTical circles for years. I-lowever, she has never held or run for any poliTical office.
