Mr. Robert Lester Springer District Principal Do you have any more questions? asks Mr. Nordahl of one of the Evaluators. A An Evaluator asks Lois, What do you think of Sewanhaka? Trends of the Future Dear Sewanhakans, One of the most important lessons to be learned in today's world is that change is inevitable. With change new ideas, opportunities, challenges, concerns and trends. Your ability to accept new changes as challenges and opportunities will largely determine your future happiness and success. But what are some of these new trends which will confront your future? You will face the Age of Accuracy - an age of unsurpassed creativity, but creativity dependent upon the greatest accuracy and most meticulous workmanship. You will live in an age of increased leisure from required work - but will face a leisure devoted to personal growth in art, music, hobbies, and the pursuit of a richer, fuller life. The trend towards better transportation and communication will enable you to visit other lands and people as well as to communicate with them by merely dialing your telephone. These trends will require a greater use of other languages, a greater understanding of the customs and habits of people in other countries, an appreciation of other cultures and a sense of humility. l hope that your years in Sewanhaka have been rich in learn- ing, activities, friendships, memories and the background to en- able you to accept the challenges of the future with confidence, success and happiness. Most sincerely, Robert L. Springer Principal of the District
