Newcomer Jimmy Trezevanf of Tampa, Florida, lead his TeammaTes by consisTenTly firing in The low sevenfies, Demi Harrison, also of Tampa, follows close behind in dodging divofs. Bill Bailey, who is The only refurning leTTerman from lasT year's Team, has again proven himself quiTe an asseT. Then banfam sized, five feeT Tall, and Tipping The scales aT one hundred pounds, is Buck CaTer, who is number four in The line-up. OTher squad members who lend confidence To The Team are Jesse Vogfle, Gordon McCormick, and Jackie CarpenTer. Summing if all up, aT This early sTage of The season, CapTain Bill ErnesT, golfing coach, who is someThing of a TeesTer himself, has a sTurdy club-wielding Team, The predicfions for which are reeking wifh rosy speculafion. 60I.F TRHCH This year should bring new life To Track aT Se- wanee under The guiding spiked No. IO of Coach WhiTey Urban. Capfain Mac Kim- brough will be leading his TeammaTes for The second year. LasT year he broke The school record in The iavelin Throw, and placed second in The Mid-SouTh r'neeT in This evenT. Park Uiquharf, one of The fasTesT sprinf men in The Mid-Soufh is expecTed To hiT his peak This year in The IOO and 220 yard dashes. Bill l-lamilfon, who raTes among The besf in The middle disTance runners is an excellent 440 man. Tom Sfone, a veferan miler, will Take over The 880 yard run and will have The siTuaTion well in hand. We can feel sure of These fine runners Taking Their share of The running evenfs. Carvel Six, a newcomer, is a promising miler ThaT we are depending on for a good performance along wifh Craig Dwyer and Tommy ArrnsTrong, Two weighT men This year, Happy Williams, Red Rose. and Melvin Young will also carry The load as weighT men This year. Freddie Johnson, Mac Kimbrough, Larry Brooks, and Park Urquharf will provide The punch in The relay races, Beaky King, anofher mainsTay from lasT year, should be an ace hurdler and high iump man.
