My taxi ride from Seville's new airport, 'The ' Ng Q , .. Ruth Carpenter Run-may , revealed that a terrific change had iid! JR come over Ee once small and quiet town I had long ago lived SBI ln. sd X The sights of this large town being unfamiliar to my sense, e. .5 I thought I would venture into the new restaurant which stood where the old 30 was once located. I walked nonchalantly in X' and took a seat at the large marble bar. Imagine my surprise Q Q when Nonna Z1 ler, one of my old classmates, waited cn me. e 5 a--- 'f She sHl 'Ehat during the depression jobs were so scarce that 1 she had been forced to take a job as a waitress. I asloed her 'T' who owned the restaurant and she told me that when she got a - ' job at the old 3C Nina Haldlman had acquired one with her as dishwasher and had worked Er way up until she now owned and ,Q managed this restaurant and several others in one of the very Q A small suburbs of Seville -- cleveland. Kppgr'-IE 5 'KNKS While finishing my coffee and crumpets I picked up a news- Sk paper - 'The Seville Chronicle , edited and published by Q32 at Beck who had succeeded Lee Gavin. Much to my amazement, on ' 55' tE'frcnt page I saw an article by Verda Evans, crack report- Q er on the staff, her article -- SeEor Play, Success' -- Reading further, I found that Miss Pe Collette, brilliant fi playwright and dramatics teacher, haaiirected this magnifi- ---. . W ti cent play. It went on to reveal that Peggy had gone to Bow- Q ling Green after being graduated from Seville High in the Spring of 47 . 'rlree years ago, it said, she had returned 5 to give the underprivileged Seville students dranatic teach- Q, R ings. Q -' Upon stepping out of the restaurant an attractive Neon , Y-'12 4 sign caught my eye. To my surprise it said 'Madam Dottie, ASM Cosmetologist and Fashion Designer . The name TtTu'6'E 'i'Tam- ' iliar note. Could it be? Havixg nothing to lose, I ven- E 'f I ' tured in. I asked the girl at me desk to see Dottie and, .Sis ' after a short time, I was ushered ln. Yes, it was my old 1, classmate and, after quite a visit with her, I found that she 4 E f had, indeed, taken up cosmetology and fashion designing and esac 4 than had opened a shop in the rapidly growing city of Seville. e She told me then that Jeannette Feesler was operating a beau- N ty salon nerxt door. fs SS e ,ga ' Q O 0' ,tx ' 1 'fi-E-L -N . 3. -- ' gfg 'Q' 0 Q 9 8 2 F, Q. ,Qu
