In school we are taught how to deal with the life that will confront us after graduation. We must be willing to learn not only in the class- room, but also by dealing with others in extra-curricular activities and athletic competition. In EMBERS we have tried to show every aspect of this years Life as you will remember it. When the first bell rang on September 6, confusion reigned through the school. After a few days we realized that the worldwide use of computers had finally extended to Severna Park High School. We were computerized! Everything went faster than before. Since we started school earlier we left earlier. We no longer had the same schedule everyday. Classes went faster. Soon all of the clubs were organized. The football season was in full swing. Homecoming was here before we knew it. The halls were decorated in an effort to promote school spirit. Both the game and the dance were a tremendous success. All too quickly t e festivities came to a close, but the memories will last for er. Bef e knew it Thanksgiving was here, bringing with it our urkey Day Classic, the last game of the season. we returned to school we were confronted with snow hich easily paved the way to the Christmas celebrations. Upon fretuming from Christmas vacation the only thing e membered about school was the good times we had had the Christmas Dance. Unfortunately we were expected to remember much more. It was time for the semester exams. With February came Sweetheart Ball at which the queen and her court reigned as beautifully as ever. Queen Brangomar was the next queen to reign, but she was very wicked. She was Snow White's stepmother in the senior's rendition of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs . The play was designed for the children of the community but it was enjoyed by all. Soon came Easter vacation. We had ten days this year. They were over almost before they had begun. Basket- ball and wrestling had come to an end. Spring evolved with baseball, lacrosse, and track moving into the sports scene. The undergraduates have only next year's courses to con- sider.
