J In its secondseason at SPI-lS,the Falcon Cross Country fem MH-bm ifwe M EIGIITII IN STATE two 'sub teams be establ1shed.The Vars1ty A 'team post- ed a remarkable 6- 1 record, and the Varsity pleted the season with a successful 3-1 record. The Falcon runners faced strong competition several heavily experienced teams throughout counties.Against Milford Mill, the harriers of the A team crushed the Millers, 15-47. The teamwas also successful in establishing an 50 score. Traveling to Woodlawn, both units of the Country team finished in the lead.The A team a 23-24 defeat, while the B team presented a loss. Dulaney, the Baltimore County Champs, out the Falcons for the second year, to give the harriers only loss of the season. At Howard County, where the A team competed, the Falcons moved to victory by forcing the Howard Lions to accept a loss. The B team almost had their second perfect score of the season, in presenting Park School a 15-50 defeat. In county competition, the Falcons bestowed on the Brooklyn Park Bees, the only other school in the county with a Cross-Country team, two decisive losses. After the regular season, the team went on to compete in the Spike Shoe Meet at john Hopkins University. The team finished eighth out of 2 schools entered.The Cross- County team, riding on a very successful season, enter the State meet. Lastyear the runners placed twenty-fifth but the quick Falcons jtu-nped to the eight spot, ahead of 25 other teams.The Falcons were led in the meet by the amazing performance of Richard Su.n,who finished fourth. if J., .....r
