Homecoming weekend started on Friday, Novem- ber 18 with the bonfire. The cheerleaders and majorettes were present at this event, and dum- mies representing Atholton players were burned. The next morning, the parade, with floats made by various clubs and organizations, boosted the spirit for Homecoming. The Senior Class float fshown opposite with its creator, Nancy Leedyj won first prize as the best float. The Booster Club float fleftj held the Queen and Court. At halftime during the game, the Queen and her Court were presented to the large crowd assem- bled. The Falcons rallied to the Homecoming tradition and the Atholton team, 46-7. That night, a successful Homecoming dance, whose theme was History's Heroes , was held in the gym. The Queen was crowned at the dance. Lionel Hunt, Student Council President, crowns Dottie Redding, H o m e c o m i n g Queen, while Dottie's escort looks on.
