FBL I L , ff.--..,.,,,,L The Severna Park Chapter of the Future Business Leaders of America tries to create interest and understanding about business occupations, and develops competent business 1eaders.FBlA this year had a rummage sale, a spaghetti dinner, a dance, and a candy sale. It also has bake sales and a booth at Falcon Fair. Programs include guest speakers, field trips, work shops, or- ientation programs, and meetings with state and county chapters. The FBLA officers are Priscilla Brown, Vice-President,Cathy Swindell, President, Linda Morris, Secretary, Patty Dominick, Treasurer, Debbie Jones, Historian, Debbie Fetsch, Reporter, Diane Cushman, Vice-President. FT Any academic student interested in the teaching profession is eligible for membership in the Future Teachers of America. FTA acquaints students with teaching through student teaching in elementary schools, field trips to colleges, and helping teachers check papers and prepare bulletin boards. This year FTA sponsored a Share drive for children in Vietnam. The FTA officers are Kathy McConkey, Presidentg Diane Coster, Vice-Presidentg Peggy Bancroft, Secretaryg and Carol Young, Treasurer. The Chess Club brings together stu- dents who like to play chess. The club, which last year org anized an intra- county tournament , has several matches during the year.
