Donating toys to hospitals and sending used clothes to hospitals in Korea were two of this club's worthwhile projects. O MRS. MIDDLETON ?ufure J-famemakers of America The Future Homemakers of America strive for the advancement of better homemaking and impressing upon others the importance of good management in every home. The club's activities included a bake sale, a fashion show and a tea. Each club member worked to learn and practice skills which are a necessary attribute ot the good home maker ' 'HOME Ec. One of the club's primary proiect of the year was the collection of pencils to be ser to Bolivian children. Other programs during th year were designed to give the students a betta understanding of teaching. I MRS. REPHAN ?ufurc' l5'z15if1c55 L'c'ad5r5 of America Led by Lee Jones the F.B.L.A. members ha cooperated well this year.in developing true bu ness leadership qualities. ln November several them took a trip to New York, which was hig lighted by a visit to' Wall Street, the business h of America. Extensive planning went into the Sta F.B.L.A. Convention held here at Severna Park January and participation in the National Conve tion in Washington, D.C. in April. The staff spon- sors an annual contest To encour- age students to submit their work to the CAULDRON. A prize is awarded for each of the best arti- cles in the fields of poetry, short stories and essays. Each issue ot the CAULDRON is submitted for rating and the pros- pects look good for this year's is- sue to live up to the standards set by the '63 staff when the maga- zine placed in a national contest.
