BROWN 'Paul E. Brown was born in Massillon, Ohio in 1908. While attending high school in that city he was very active in all sports. Latter he attended Heskiminetas preparatory school, Saltsburg, Pa., where he also played football. Later on Mr. Brown spent some time at Ohio State University. Leaving here he went to Miami College in Ohio. He was also very active in sports at this school. Mr. Brown won four varsity letters, foot- ball, baseball and track. All Ohio Quarterback in 1928. Mr. Brown graduated from Miami in 1930. He is a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and has an A. B. degree. COACH HOOVER Mr. W. Hoover was born in Mechanisburg, Pa. He graduated from Lancaster High School where he starred on their football team. Mr. Hoover in the following year entered Franklin and Marshall College, but remained there for only a short time due to the outbreak of the World War. On the seventh of May, he joined the Army and was sent to France in October. After the war in 1919 he returned to college, and came to Severn in 1921. We all know his career from that time on, particularly how he has coached three championship teams HARRY A. MAC HAMER Mr. Harry A. MacHamer was born in Pennsylvania in 1905. He attended Poly- technic Institute, in Baltimore, Maryland and was graduated in 1925. While at high school Mr. MacHamer starred in football, basketball and lacrosse. He was captain of the football team in 1924. In 1925 Mr. MacHamer entered Western Maryland College. In College Mr. MacHamer achieved fame, played football, basketball and lacrosse for three years. In basketball he made a place in the All Mary- land team for two consecutive years. Besides this he was voted the most popular man of the college. He was graduated from college in 1929 with an A. The cup was to become the property of the first school to win it three times. The selection of the best team was to be made each year by a committee of the Alumni Association.
