When the Maryland All-State football team was published we found that Eric Reed and Edward Schumann had been selected' Reed at halfback and Schumann at tackle. Reed was also elected Captain of the team an honor which he justly deserved. On the two school publications the Severn Anchor and the Anchor and Wheel the class of 1931 is well represented. E. G. Smith Assistant Editor-in-chief' H. B. Walmsley Business Manager' L. H. Bauer Circulation Manager and R. Teel an Associate Editor were the seniors doing their bit to make the Severn Anchor in its first year a success. The upperclassmen of the Editorial Staff of the Anchor and Wheel are Bassett Cullen Flower E. G. Smith Struven and Walmsley. This year s graduating class chose as its officers the following: . William Struven r. President' Ericsson Reed Vice-Pre-ident' Walter C. Flower Sec- retary' and Edward Schumann Treasurer. These officers have done their part in upholding the dignity of the class as well as administering its affairs. Senior members of the student council are Reed, presidentg Walmsley and Struven. These student councilmen also have done their duty efficiently and well, and are deserving of praise for their excellent example set to the under classmen. Thus we see that the class of 1931 is equally prominent in athletics, E S Q litera ursuits, scholastic work, and school overnment.
