To the members of our faculty, we leave a large amount of sympathy for ff their depressing attempts to pound knowledge into our craniums. To our beloved teach- er, Mrs. Gertrude Scott, we leave our apologies for all the worries we have caused her, also we leave our love and sincere thanks for being so patient and understanding with us. The following valuable personal bequest, freely and fully given, should be treasured as a continual reminder of the abundant gener- osity of the Class and the individuals thereof. We trust these responsibilities will be assum- ed promptly and bring important results. I, Louise Price, will my misbehavior in class to Clara Creel so she won't have to be so quiet when Mr. Creel's looking. I, Dora Williams, leave my ability to slip off from school without getting caught to James Davis. I, Johnny Daly, bequeath my ability to chew tobacco in school to Avery Davis. I, Bobbie Kornegay, leave my sense of humor to Hazel Wade. I, Tempie Faye Creech, leave my record for running up and down the hall to Mildred Creech. gn i ' . , '41 . .55 Lf' ,T .22 f' -. iii? Z 5 . fix, fi? lt ' I, Ben Jones, will my ability to get along with teachers to Jake Maxwell. I, Mamie Jean Herring, bequeath my engage- ment ring to Jean Vinson in hopes it will help her keep her boy friends. I, Esther Whitfield, will the No. ll basket- ball uniform to Emma Sanderson. I, Jean Price, leave my boyish bob hair-do to Hilda Ann Piner. I, Donald Hinson, bequeath my ability to carve desk in the 12th grade room to Arthur Herring and Franklin Smith. I, Lefty David Williams, will my pitching ability to Kenneth Edwards, so next year he'll have a permanent position on the baseball team. I, Richard Ivey, leave my operattic voice to Dennis Lee Sutton. I, Theodore Tilghman, bequeath my ability to behave in class to Burtrell Price. I, Christine Smith, will my ability to attend class regularly to Vernon Price. I, Rex Price, leave my knowledge to type stencils and operate the rex-o-graph and meme -o-graph machine to Nelson Price. I, Lebron Herring, leave my ability to eat ice cream and chew tobacco at the same time to Burtrell Price. I, Carolyn Herring, leave all my boy friends to Christine Kilpatrick, since she needs them worse than I do. I, Virginia Grant, bequeath my basketball ability and 37 point average to Elaine Head. Si gned-Vi rginia Grant PROPHECV As I spin the Wheel of Fortune, these items come into veiw. I see Tempie Faye Creech. She's living in Duplin and taking care of her five children while her husband supervises the tending of his 2, 000 acre farm. Across the river at the Cliffs of the Neuse State Park I see Johnny Daly. He is a Park Ranger and has turned out to be quite a nature boy. Down the road a little way I see Virginia Grant who is now married and has four pro- spective basketball players. It seems her children have .a natural instinct for sports, because they often go hunting with their parents. Overin Price Town Mamie Jean Herring and Rex Price are married and extremely happy except for one thing, they can't agree on how to raise their children. Theodore Tilghman now has airadio pro- gram in Seven Springs. He spends most of his time telling falsehoods. He must be pretty good for he receives a salary of 53,000 per week. As the wheel turns I see Dora Williams up at the Nation's Capital. She's helping the President with his bookkeeping. She receives S77, 000 per year. Down Sevens Springs way I see Ben Jones. He stays rather close to the village because he doesn't want his friends to get lonesome for him. His hobby is keeping the village folks awake on Saturday night. Up in New York I see Jean Price and Christine Smith. They teach school in New York State College. They are the bestpaid teachers in the United States. Near Mt. Olive I see Donald Hinson driving his 1962 Cadillac Convertible. That's the best way Donald knows how to get plenty of girl friends. Esther Whitfield has a two-block beauty salon in Hollywood. She is now supervisor for the hair-dos of the movie stars. Near Seven Springs I see Lebron Herring and his wife living on a huge farm. Their favorite past-time is raising fice dogs. Bobbie Kornegay is nursing in the Seven Spring's 50-acre hospital. She is known as the kindest and bravest nurse in the state. The next itemlfind on the Wheel of For- tune is David Williams pitching baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals. He receives !B1Z5,000 a year. He seems to be having a hard time teaching Junior to pitch, because Junior isn't the athletic type. Richard Ivey is starring in a MGM pic- ture called the The Kissing Link . Doris Day is co-starring in the same picture. Carolyn Herringis living on a farm near Seven Springs. She seems to be having a hard time trying to teach Junior to talk properly. As the Wheel begins to slow down I see Louise Price living in Duplin. Her husband runs an oil company while Louise stays at home and keeps house. The Wheel is still slowing down and finally stops and every thing turns blank. ' Signed-Louise Price me I ff dx f 5 1' -1-.wx .A if ,Z 2 . f. 'V , I, ggi JS-1, .. --2-1 Q . had ff WW Jim ' f ?
