CLASS PROPHECY Lislen all you men, women, youths and little children. Listen all you Springs High, to the words of wisdom from the lips of your prophet unto you what has ben revealed unto her. It has been given unto me as the chosen one of this great and good of 1950, to dream strange dreams and see strange visions of the glories to be. Panis has her six boys tending the farm while her husband is riding around in their new super-jet 1960 Ford. Farther down the road toward Mt. Olive, I see the largest car industry in the world. The sign reads, Herring Ford Corporation, which is owned by A. J. Herring. I find him in his office giving dictation to his secretary, Mildred 'Williams. His book-keeper is Blanche Williams. Across from the car industry is Nolan Hinson's huge farm where he raises hogs. He has hogs that average l500 lbs. when dressed. His hog farm brings in more money than any other business in the state. Nolan is now president of the North Carolina Hog Asso- ciation. Back down in Seven Springs again, at the newly built Sl00,000,000 gym behind the school, I see W. C. Sanderson coaching basketball. W. C. has just graduated from State College and received the trophy for being the World's Champion Basketball Player. Across from the gym, Ashton Dawson is giving instructions to one of the boys who attends school there, on how to operate his school bus. Ashton is one of the highest rated mechanics in the country. Oh my, what was that that just went zooming by? Oh yes, that was the new State Highway Patrolman, Jarvis Pate, in his super-sonic eight Buick. He is after someone xor speeding in the city. As I go across Neuse River on Carefree Avenue, I see two little brick houses just alike. As I come closer, I see Jean Casey and Sally Cottle talking to each other across the fence which separates their homes. Jean raises flowers for the World Market and Sally and her husband are in the car business. At the present, they own a jet-propeled Cadillac. Sally says that Lorena Lamm has just returned from China where she was a missionary. Well, I guess I'd better get back to the city, because I want to see Kenneth Lane in his first movie at the World Central Theater on 92nd St. Kenneth is now in Hollywood making two pictures a week. He was voted the most handsome actor on the screen and the best dressed man of the year. Ellen Bartlett
