DMINISTR TID ziswmsi ,E Q I rr 1:21 PAUL R. NEEDLES Our sincere wish is that the members of the Senior Class of 1952 will be good citizens in our American democracy. Make a determined effort to safe guard the liberties and ideals upon which our government was founded. World conflict of ideologies is now going on. If ours is worth keeping, it is worth fighting for. We believe that all people should have the privilege of free speech, free religion, and free enterprise. We should work with every available means to see that we continue to have that right. Your efforts, or lack of interest, may deter- mine our future and that of generations to come. Our best wishes go with you as you enter upon the threshold of life.

SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Kennie Millice, Patricia Koffer, Terry Wirtley and Mary Lee Malcom are the charter members of the graduating class of '52. These eager beginners enrolled in the first grade at Seven Mile in 1940, with Miss Martha Pettet as teacher. Charoline Dinnie joined these four in 1941. Coming from Hamilton, Warren Burkhardt enrolled in the third grade with Mrs. Mildred Bayes as teacher. The fourth grade was uneventful but profitable under the supervision of Mrs. Irene Gath. Shelby Martin deliberately joined the class in grade five. Just as deliberately and with all her charm and talent beaming, Sondra Stewart joined the sixth grade under Mrs. Hilda Weaver's instructions. Mr, Marc Jewell was the homeroom teacher for our seventh year. We were proud of ourselves because we could then change classes. Marjorie Phares and Bob Sams came from Collinsville, and wonder of wonders, we presented our first play before the entire school. It was entitled Dagwood and Blondie and was written by those creative members of the class, Pat Koffer and Mary Lee Malcom. The entire class participated. During the eighth grade Claude Hawkins deserted Fairfield to join in a more illustrious class. In the ninth grade our class was the smallest in the school, with only fifteen members. We gave our home room sponsor, Mrs, Blanche Mann, something to remember in a party unequaled before or since. We had chills and thrills with mental telepathy. In 1949, our sophomore year, we became the second largest class in the school. Rapid growth, one must admit. Coming into the class were, Freida Baker, Don Black, Jewel Brown, Betty Cain, Marlene Clark, James Dozier, Gene Hacker, Pat Henry, Andy Jones, Margaret Lee, Peggy Miles, Gail Moore, Melvin Moore, James Philpot, Chris Radovich, Josephine Reese, Dixie Rice, Lowell Roark, Joy Rogers, Don Sratzer, Joan Stidham, and Barbara Strong. Time and space prohibit details, but these wonderful people hailed from New Miami, Hamilton, and Monroe. Paul Hartman, small but powerful, came to us.from Hamilton in our junior year. We were no slouches when we gave a prom for the class of '51. It was a lovely affair and Marjorie Conover and Don Gobel were crowned queen and king respectively. We gathered for the last year of our high school career on September 5, 1951, in room 201 with Mrs. Blanche Mann again our home room sponsor. Two new students were here to be welcome, namely Pauline Taylor and Joe Hibbard. Our Senior class play, Head First , a comedy in three acts was presented November 9. We were 34. 31 in the red when our last school year opened, but before the last of November we had met all expenses and given our class gift of S100 to help purchase a cyclorma for the stage. This left us a healthy balance in our treasury to add by means of various projects.
