Here on the Hilll' we Work and pray together-and we also play together. The direction of this phase of our college life is the function of the Women's Athletic Association. Under the moderation of Miss Bessie Mc- Manus and Miss Eunice Dirsa, the W.A.A. is active throughout the year with tennis, bowling, hockey, ping-pong, and badmin- ton tournamentsg hiking, swim- ming meets, and intramural bas- ketball games. Affording every student an opportunity for par- ticipation in one or more sports, the W.A.A. fosters a spirit of comradeship and cooperation among its members-the entire student body. Swimming enthusiasts clock their time for the intramural 7 tl6'6.S'. H ermes, our mascot, refuses to disclose who will he the winner of the inter class haslzethall tournament. Fran Richter and Marg Golcly are coasting him to tell! The W.A.d. Council gaibf completes preparations for the circus. College Government, through the General Assembly, the Senate and the Superior Court, attempts to integrate activities and estab- lish policies for the entire student body in a manner beneficial to all. The Rosa Mystica Sodality, the Council of the National Federation of Catholic College Students, and the Cath-olic Stu- dents Mission Crusade Unit in- sure a spiritual solidarity. The Sodality is instrumental in di- recting religious activities which develop a richer personal spiritu- ality.'
