Canevin Hall, a second residence hall for students, was opened in 1924. The building was named for Archbishop Regis Canevin, who, as Bishop of Pittsburgh when the col- lege charter was granted in 1918, gave unfailing encourage- ment to the Sisters of Charity. Both residence halls, Canevin and Lowe, provide facilities which make leisure time more enjoyable. Adjacent to the fourth floor of Lowe Hall is the smoker. This beehive of activity is the assembly room for chatter, laughs about the empty coke machine, bridge played on blond. coffee tables, big sister-little sister hello's and class songs. Our rooms, too, are a place for friendly conversations at recreation time. In Canevin Lounge, Seton Hill's non-resident students claim their own social center. Couches, chairs, card tables, and a piano provide background for relaxation, while paint- ings and cheerful draperies complete the decor of this friendly room. Canvein Parlors provide a gracious setting for enter- taining guests, for the annual Red Cross Christmas party, and for special club activities. , -ffryiizc Come and join ur, invite Ruth Clouse, Agnesmary Treanor, and Ollie Meggison. 'Canevm Hall Belween clrzrses, Pat Filkosky, Kaye Gordon, Marilyn Hyde and Janet Luther make the most of their minutes in the non-residents' lounge. '
