Cite Ghrisf-lik expresses itself in clzarify. POOR FAMILIES Charity is love. This intangible virtue must he applied to both God and neighbor, for one completes the other. Setonites strive to acquire a love for the poor by helping those less fortunate than they. Each homeroom 'aadoptsv a needy family and the girls make them their own. Throughout the year the Setonites sacrifice in order that their' families may obtain much- deserved care. During the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons, baskets are filled to overHoW- ing. And it is a common sight at this time to see the girls and Sisters hammering, painting and reconstructing old toys. Setonites' real families also help by donating time and money. From the warm glow of contentment felt by the girls, the meaning of the old proverb is in evidence, namely, 'alt is better to give than to receivef' Mr. Widlilyer proved the ideal Santa Claus at the Publications Christmas Party for underprivileged children . Sister Zoe and lnembcrs of her homeroom pack food which will be distributed to the poor. Eileen Poyer, Joan Hand and Rose Robinson admire clothing and toys donated to their poor family. wwf, ,. mfr, ivfgqif ii Y
