Virginia Hipsley, and Vice President, Dorothy Anderson glance over Legion literature. fegivu nf Dmsfucy On guard against evil influences of our day is the Legion of Decency whose duty it is to control promptly situations tending to draw souls from the pure model of Catholicity-Mary, the Mother of God. No organization is more urgently needed in our present era than this. With the cooperation of Setonites, the Legion of Decency strives to promote decent and morally good literature, motion pictures, plays, radio and television programs. Pamphlets, bulletins, rallies and discussions help to keep interested members well-informed of their duties and obliga- tions to live up to the principles set forth in their Legion of Decency pledge. A contest captioned Out of the Mouths of Babes, was also sponsored by the Legionnaires. Baby pictures were dis- played in the lobby ofthe auditorium building. Students entered the contest by writing their interpretation of the expres- sion of each babe as that of approval or of disapproval of certain movies, literature and dress. Awards were given for the cleverest interpretations of the pictures. Activi- ties of this organization combine enthusiasm with true Christian charity. To encourage in- terest in the propagation of the faith at home and abroad is the object of the Unit. Key- noting charity the Seton Crusaders have ac- cepted Christ's challenge to give at the cost of personal sacrifice. Material as well as spiritual offerings have been shipped from Seton High to Bolivia, to the Bishops' Relief Fund and to Catholic Charities' Appeal.
