. His Holiness Pope Pius Xll Dedicafinu lf my people will not submit, Mary said at La Salette, I shall be forced to let go the hand of my Son. It is so strong, so heavy, that I can no longer withhold it. As the clouds of war threateningly gather, and the peace of nations and of individuals is ieopardized, one figure stands above the intrigue of peace tables-one figure stands with outstretched arms to gather lovingly to the Heart of Christ the entire world. He is a tireless worker for world peace, he is the voice of one crying in the wilderness, and as the Holy Precursor before him, he would make straight the way of the Lord so that all nations would recognize the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. Dedicated to the individual and social rights of mankind and the spiritual freedom of the Church, he is a champion of truth in an age of deception, he is a knight of our Lady, devoted to her incomparable virtues in an age degraded by the most shameful vices. To him, Pope Pius XII, we humbly dedicate our 1955 Shepherdess. May each of us be a loyal daughter of Holy Mother Church. May we ever recognize in him the Vicar of Christ on earth to whom is entrusted the sacred duty of leading souls to eternal happiness. May each of us find peace in our own soul so we may be strong in the pursuit of good, victorious over the enemies of our salvation, triumphant in the conquest of the eternal kingdom. With the humble dedication of our yearbook goes a heartfelt prayer borrowed from the liturgy of the Church, And when the prince of pastors shall appear, you shall receive a never fading crown of glory. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little, will Himself perfect you, and confirm you, and establish you. To Him be glory and empire forever and ever. Amen.
